PET SEMATARY doc gets digital release this Friday the 13th
Terror Films will finally unleash its long-awaited documentary UNEARTHED & UNTOLD: THE PATH TO PET SEMATARY on a number of digital platforms this Friday, January 13th. The film was previously distributed as part of a limited-edition collector’s package released during a month-long promotion in May, but this week’s digital premiere marks the first time the doc will be widely available.
UNEARTHED & UNTOLD, co-written and directed by John Campopiano and Justin White, charts the path of Stephen King's bestselling novel from its origins and inspirations to the production of Mary Lambert’s 1989 film adaptation. The doc, which was five years in the making, features exclusive interviews with the cast, crew and locals and never-before-seen video footage from the sets in Maine.
The film will be released this Friday on Amazon Instant, XBOX Live, VUDU, Sony PlayStation Network, Google Play and iTunes (where it’s currently available for pre-order). It will eventually be released on Amazon Prime, Roku, Hulu and cable VOD, but no dates are available yet for those platforms.
Fans can also look forward to exclusive bonus features as part of a special iTunes package that will drop sometime in the coming month; watch the film’s official Facebook page for details. A Canadian release via Raven Banner is planned for later this year.
